In June 2016 Pembroke Graphics was contracted by Cairns Regional Council to produce rainforest themed artwork to adorn the revamped multi-storey car park in Lake Street, Cairns.
Comprising 175 individual panels, router cut from 10mm thick aluminium sheets, the artwork forms a continuous scene covering the front and wrapping around to partially cover the northern face.
Each panel is unique. The scene, which extends for 40m and is 12m in height, features many iconic species of flora and fauna from the rainforests of Far North Queensland.
The exquisitely detailed aluminium panels were fabricated by Cairns firm FNQ Plastics, who have done a fantastic job in realising my design.
